Robot Buggy: Getting started

I'm not too sure how to go about starting a blog post, but I guess there's no better way to start than with a hello!! And a welcome to my blog. Here will I be documenting my progress in designing and building my first project in the world of robotics. There will be mistakes and mishaps, confusion and bewilderment, but hopefully, by the end of it, we’ll both have learned something along the way. My hope is that this project will challenge my design skills, creativity, and problem-solving, resulting in a working robotic buggy.

As much as id like to pretend I have the engineering knowledge to design and build a robot from scratch. That simply isn't the case. So, I have tasked myself with building and upgrading this little guy. Say hello to ELEGOO!

ELEGOO Tumbller Self-Balancing Robot Car Kit
  • The ELEGOO Tumbller kit is an Arduino project of robotic car kit which has multiple fascinating functions like IR control, auto-follow, obstacle avoidance, bouncing mode, and LED control. All Of which is programable using the onboard Arduino UNO (which acts as a brain for the buggy). I hope that in these blog posts I can talk you through my thought process as I venture to build, code, and eventually upgrade ELEGOO into a functioning autonomous balancing buggy.
  • I'll be posting updates every week here on the blog and ill also be keeping the socials up to date with some behind-the-scenes content. This week i will be working on a CAD model of the buggy and hopefully will get the parts in hand to start the build and development process. See you next week!
